    Chapter One

    How we met

    March 2022

    — 8 —

He was explaining a card game to someone who clearly already knew it, and he was so happy about it that nobody stopped him.

A couple settled together on a sofa in a bright living room.

Afterwards I asked him for the address of the place. That's all that happened. We sat on the stairwell on 6th Cross for two hours because neither of us wanted the evening to end, and neither of us would say so.

She asked for the address of a place we were both already standing outside. I've thought about this a lot since. — V.

    Chapter Two

    What nearly went wrong

    2022 – 2023

    — 31 —

The first real argument was about a chair. It was not about a chair.

A long train at a station platform under a blue sky.

Then his job moved him two cities away and we had eight months of Friday trains. Platform 3, the same bench, the same argument about seat numbers. Some Sundays the goodbye was so bad we nearly stopped doing them.

It was absolutely about the chair. But also, yes, it wasn't. — V.

    Chapter Three

    Why it worked

    2024 – now

    — 54 —

He moved in with four boxes and a plant that was already dead. When I had flu he made the same soup four days running and pretended each one was different.

A couple reading the same book together, one holding a mug of tea.

Splitting one dessert and both claiming to have had less. The 11pm walk to a shop we never need anything from. Reading in the same room for two hours without saying a word. That's it. That's why.

The plant was recovering. It lives on the windowsill now. And the soups WERE different. — V.

    Contents, so far

    1. March 2022

      Two hours in a stairwell9

Neither of us suggested moving. It was not a comfortable stairwell.

    2. August 2022

It was about a chair. It was not about a chair.

    The soundtrack

the shared one (do not add to this)

    Naina & Veer, 214 songs

    1. 1. the one from the car

added by Veer (he denies it; the log says otherwise)

    2. 2. the flu song

on loop for four days, November 2024

    3. 3. the argument song

added by both of us, twice. Nobody noticed for a year

    4. 4. the 3am one

      rule: only after midnight

It has a rule, and the rule has been broken eleven times.

    Dedication

For whoever reads this later —

We started writing separate letters and it turned into an argument about who noticed what first, so we gave up and wrote one.

Here's what we agree on: the big things haven't been the point. Nobody will make a film about a stairwell on 6th Cross or a bakery we keep missing by four minutes.

Somewhere between the big moments, the ordinary days became our favourite part. That's the whole thing. That's the entire book.

    — N & V

You remember the dates. I remember what you were wearing.

Somewhere in there, the ordinary days became the best part.

    The end of part one

About this love story website example

“Us, in All the Little Things” is a sample Xenium love story, themed “The Book of Us”: a storybook whose pages turn as you scroll, with chapters on how they met, what nearly went wrong and why it worked, photographs tipped into the pages, his version of events in the margins, and a dedication at the end.

A love story Xenium needs no occasion. Send the moments you'd want remembered, and a designer turns them into a private website with music, a timeline and your own words. ₹750 with everything included, delivered within 24 hours.

Couples send the small things: the café they always go back to, the way one of them makes tea, the notes left on the fridge, the playlist from a long drive. A designer arranges them into chapters with animated text and background music, so the finished Xenium reads like the story only the two of you know. It opens from a private link on any phone, with an optional password, and comes with a printable QR code for a card or frame. Revisions are free and unlimited until it feels right.
